Outpost Pizza Pub & Grill

Stopped here for a quick pit stop during our trip to Enterprise. The Restaurant not only has a sit down dining area but a gift shop and an ice cream shop inside too . The place is really big with a lot of seating and multiple sections .They were empty and attended us right away , but soon people started trickling in and this felt like a spot really popular with the locals . There was just one girl working all the tables and Man was she efficient ! Attending almost 6-8 tables and checking up on everyone frequently We ordered the Chicken Fried steak and the beef sandwich and both menu items very delicious . The chicken fried steak comes with mashed potatoes and some boiled veggies and was big enough for two of us . We also ordered the Chocolate Peanut butter pie and loved it . Very reasonable prices and good portion sizes , I can see why the locals love this place

Well, the lady with the cop had takeout. I overheard her say that ‘Subway’ was good yesterday but sometimes you just wanna grab a greasy burger. I had the Reuben which was as standard and delicious as they come. Overall, I was impressed by the pleasant wait staff and general vibe of the folks in this small town. Central Oregon is full of surprises and not that populated. Next time I’ll explore those wonderful Ponderosa Natl Forests that they manage in this area.

Great service with a smile . Attached to restaurant is Little boutique clothing store with stylish clothes . This place has hometown cooking and large portions . Exactly what is expected in John Day . Great local stop .

It was great to be able to walk from our hotel to The Outpost for dinner. The service was fast and friendly. The menu has a great variety of choices. I had one of their specialties, Alice Chicken, which was unique and very good. They have homemade ice cream and a whole variety of good deserts. Definitely a find.

Such a good stop for food! The Best Western Hotel recommended this place and it was a great spot for our family. Cozy and country atmosphere! We were talking about the food the next day because we wished we had more! Our waitress (a younger blonde girl) was not very friendly and almost made us feel awkward at times, but the food was SO GOOD that it didn’t matter. We would love to come back here if we’re ever in the area again!
