“We usually frequent this restaurant on weekdays or during the off-season. We've always had a delightful experience. The staff is quite friendly and very prompt when taking our orders, refilling drinks, etc. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. It's based in an older style house turned restaurant and you get a lot of feels from it in a charming sort of way. There is a really nice bar and plenty of beverages to choose from. The food has only ever been perfect. We will always be back!”

“I can't even explain how much I love this place!!! There is a game arcade, my daughter never gets bored!. The food area is huge! Probably a 100 + people could fit there. Salads are the best! You can make them yourselves!!! You can add a bunch of whatever you want! Pizzas are great as well! You order on the register ( waitresses don't go to your table), regardless of this fact Customer service is 5 stars. Specially the lady that manages the place. She is amazing! I never left Pietro's pizza without a smile. Can't wait to be back! ????????”

“The place was busy, the waitress avoided eye con at with us completely after 17 minutes ( I clocked it, I was supper hungry ) the owner Chris who was working behind the bar came over to take our order. He was very pleasant and the food came quickly, it was delicious. If the waitresses would have made contact with us to let us know she would get to us I would have given 5 stars, but as it was she appeared rude another three mi7we would have walked out. And as for bread ? There was none. We will most likely be back, will ask for Chris”

The staff seems to jive well with one another, and the relaxed and comfortable energy usually transfers to the dining guests. The sushi rolls are great, with some interesting Pacific Northwest inspired fusion rolls. The fish itself is always good. The vibe is pretty chill but I do wish there was a little more space to breathe in the place. Not always the best option on a busy night if you’re at all claustrophobic. It’s in a basement, after all. Still, they deserve 5 stars cause sometimes that hidden basement is just what you need.”

“Sure is a great breakfast experience, very good choices on the menu, quality is great, clean environment, very casual setting. The only real drag at times can be the parking of a vehicle, no such thing as convenience there. But for those that find street parking in front or near-by, you are in business then. Definitely want to try it out if you have time, we try to hit it up every time we are in the area. They are very consistent with quality and quantity each time we visit the restaurant. Hope you can get the same treatment as we do, you should, if not, many apologies, but I don't think you will regret it.”

“We had excellent service and booked a reservation which seemed needed on a weekend night. We couldn’t find anything on the wine menu we liked but they did open a bottle we brought for a reasonable corkage fee. We split an app and had the scallops and pork schnitzel. All were delicious but not mind blowing. A great place for a special meal.”

“The best all around Japanese restaurant in the Gorge. For me, the curries and rice bowls are particular standouts, as well as the soups. Friends have really enjoyed the sushi - I just happen to prefer rice and noodle dishes. They also make a mean tempura and serve excellent sake. It isn't a fast food place. Often there is just one cook, so engage in some ribald banter with your dining mates and prepare yourself for some truly delicious food at a great price. My family has eaten here dozens of times and it has been consistently outstanding.”

“Edit: I went back inside to try another salad. This time I did ask what size salad I could get. The lady that helped me was very nice, but she told me they only have a side salad, or a large. The large is extremely big while the side salad is extremely small. I work close by and I always recommend Andrew's to customers..I will not anymore. Lately, they have been super skimpy with the salads...now it's only two scoops and I don't even order the lettuce underneath.”

“Best hangover breakfast well into the early afternoon. Great for taking to-go, hiding in bed and watching cartoons, or walking down to the river for a little picnic lunch on the grass. The bagels are dank and keep getting better and more consistent. The California Roast Beef on the Everything Bagel is my FAVORITE bagel sandwich of all time. They also have a delicious selection of juices. I particularly love the Watermelon-Strawberry-Mint one. MintBerryMelon, I think. So refreshing. Fresh fruit on offer as a side for your sandwich is a nice touch to round out your meal and add some fiber to your meal.”

“I was in Hood River visiting family for Thanksgiving and just happened to wander into this place last week when they were serving gumbo (which I have to say is one of the most authentic gumbo bowls I've ever had)... I'm sure glad I did! Every single cider I sampled was amazing. The guy working was very knowledgeable and really knew his stuff - I chose a glass of black current cider and then had a glass of something Uno (can't remember the exact name) - they were both delightful. “Went here based on the reviews, yet I was rather unimpressed. The biscuit I ordered and muffin my friend got were served ice cold with cold, hard butter. I was expecting a warm biscuit. The latte I ordered was fantastic and I would highly recommend this place for coffee, as for the middle of the road rating. Egg sandwiches appeared to be a quiche style, which was a bit surprising, but some may be enticed by its originality. This, overall, was a different breakfast experience than originally planned, but amazing coffee/lattes/lemonade.”

“I just had the best fettuccine alfredo I have had in years, and it was the side dish. The main dish was the best rib eye I have ever had. It was prepared perfectly and melt in your mouth tender. I would have been pleased with a main dish of the fettuccine and chicken, which is on the menu. However the smells invading brain had me committed to a steak 2 blocks away. The staff was very friendly and attentive without getting in the way of our conversation. The place was packed and from what I could see every table got the same personal attention. One server took a group pic for a group that was celebrating. If you find yourself in Hood River and want a great steak, shrimp, or a platter of fettuccine swing into the Mesquitery.
