“I've been driving by this place for the last 7 years when I go visit my property in the Siskiyou National Forest at the base of Glass Mntn. On this trip it was just my son and myself and we decided to stop in. I finally realized why this place is such a throwback and why it's always busy when I drive-through this small little town. I recommend patronizing them and take a moment and go back in time.”

“The place was empty when we got there so seating was easy. Apparently, one lady was doing all the jobs. She was very kind and friendly, sharing local news and history with us as we ate. The food was good and obviously freshly prepared. Would definitely recommend.”

“My favourite bar in Merrill! ;D But seriously, this is a great place to hang out. Everyone who works here is friendly and fun to talk to. This is mostly a beer drinker's bar and there are only three taps but if you're nice to the bartenders they'll make any drink you ask for. And the food is damn good. The owner is working her butt off classing up the joint and she is simply awesome.”

“This is one amazing place. Incredibly rich history extremely well presented through markers and a print guide. This is a hike though lava need terrain, so it's not flat, and you need good shoes. There is a .5 Mile version and a 1.5 mile version of the hike. Most of the historically significant markers are on the short hike, but the extended juke has a lot of way cool terrain that i personally enjoyed more.”
