Mazzi's

Talk about yummy.... such a pretty environment and very welcoming. It seems as though the place is growing in it's own popularity with local residents .. which may also be it's only flaw... as on a Saturday night it was a bit cramped.
However thankfully the other patrons were just as polite and understanding, that it was comforting like home. :)
Perhaps with their popularity growing there will be potential expansions in their future. .. .(I sure Hope so)

Tonight I brought my 91-year-old friend to Mazzi's, and every single Mazzi's employee was thoughtful, careful, and mindful with my friend. I had reserved the table only a few hours before, and said I hoped for a spot that was not drafty, or too loud. They gave us a lovely table in the back, by the fire. It was perfect! I should mention here that the host who took us to our table, walked slowly and kept looking behind, smiling, making sure my 91-year-old friend was okay. The server gave us the extra time we needed to look at the menu, and she catered to every request my friend had. Also, she had a radiant smile, as she showed us this extra care, such as bringing salad dressing samples for my friend to try, and so on. (I am sorry, I forgot the server's name!) I should add here that yes, the food was delicious! And as we left, EVERY SINGLE employee looked us in the eyes, smiled at us warmly, and said good night. I think it made my friend feel quite special. What a sweet night out, with my friend who has been like a second mother to me for decades. Service this good is rare nowadays, so please tell all your staff that their kindness and their smiles, DO make a difference. Thanks so much, Mazzi's!

The waiter was outstanding. Service was good. Meals were tasty but the calazone was burnt on the bottom. Only open for dinner. They start opening the doors a little before 5pm.

Wow! Some of the best Italian food in Eugene! Had the best service when we went here during Christmas vacation when a number of other places were closed. They were able to deal with our party of 7 with only a few minutes notice and did a great job taking care of us. Picked up on my daughters bday even though I only mentioned it once. Great service!

We love this place! Our bartender Dave was very friendly and personable. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting! Adding this spot to our list of go-to restaurants!
