My husband and I came here on a Sunday morning right when they open. The restaurant fills up very quickly. We both ordered the half biscuits and gravy. The scrambled eggs were perfect and the sausage links were delicious. The biscuits and gravy were
SOO delicious! I’m a B&G lover and was super pleased with theirs. Coffee was great as well. The staff was superb. If we lived close, we’d be regulars.
Good food and the prices were comparable to all the other joints we had went to. The shop is local which was very nice to support. The staff was wonderful. Even though there was a large crowd they were friendly and the food came quickly. Highly recommend if in the city.
The food, the service, the ambience was just perfect. A lot of locals were coming in, so we knew it will be good. It was good to see so many options for vegetarians as well. We'd ordered classic eggs Benedict and a veggie burger. Both of them were supreme delicious. And the coffee was heavenly, one of the best that I'd had.
Go where the locals go is my technique for finding the best eats and that premise certainly paid out at The Little Brown Hen Cafe!
From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by a friendly, prompt greeting and we're seated right away! Within a quick minute we were sipping their locally roasted coffee and a truly yummy Bloody Mary with a candied bacon rose for garnish!
Breakfast was wonderful! Homemade and hand crafted, excellent gravy and custom meats from Childers Custom Wholesale Meats in Eugene.
The chicken fried steak was light and crisp, perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. My poached eggs were some of the best I've had.
The bacon was thick, crisp and smokey and the sausage patty was well seasoned without being too salty or spicy.
The ambience of this little Cafe is fun, welcoming and comfortable!
The Little Brown Hen is cash only but they do have an ATM available if you need it.
I would very highly recommend this Cafe for breakfast or lunch (they close at 2pm) and you can bet that we will be back!
A quaint diner serving up incredible home-style goodness with some fresh twists, and knock-your-socks-off brunchy cocktails. The hash browns were some of the best ever. So buttery and lightly crisped. Omelettes were packed with freshness, including generous chunks of crab in the crab omelette. Special requests were met without a qualm. The service was great, including tourist help from a local (saved us a lot of money).
Oh, and try the candied bacon. Wow!
