“I was so impressed with the improvements at Darlings that I asked my wife if we could spend our week long anniversary adventure there, and we decided we would. Unfortunately mother nature had other plans. The wind blew so hard it almost ripped our awning off before I could reel it in. We spent the evening instead in the beautiful restaurant they have there. The food was absolutely amazing. Tri tip, Brisket, and the best beans we've had in a while. You can sit and eat your meal either indoor or outdoor with gas fired warming tables. Every site has an amazing view of the lake. They also had supplies right at the resort so we really didn't even need to run to town. Lastly the owner, his staff, and everyone who works there were so helpful, friendly, and went out of their way to make our "rain soaked" vacation the best possible. We will be back for sure! Even locals in town commented on how great the food and hospitality is there. Thank you Darlings... see you soon...”

“Fantastic service, delicious food, and delicious drinks. I'm not a local but I come here every time I visit Florence when I want to dine out at a restaurant. You can be classy, casual, or full dress up. The entire restaurant is dedicated to honoring firefighters and is extremely pleasant towards military members and those who are in the public services. The drinks and food are plenty affordable, especially for a Coastal town. There are a few fancy looking restaurants near this place, but I choose the Firehouse every time. I know it's a Coastal town but many places serve 90% seafood. People I dine with have an allergy to seafood or it doesn't sit well with them. The Firehouse has an awesome selection of food that isn't seafood, and if you do want seafood the Clam Chowder is to die for.”

My salad was Greens with feta cheese and mango dressing Mango dressing is made in house it was absolutely delicious. I had the pizza it was amazing as well. My husband got the shrimp scampi hes he liked it OK he wish he would have got what I got. Restrooms could have used a little bit of a cleaning but they were really really busy. They have seating inside and outside. If You like clam chowder don't go to Moe's come here. Very delicious. Can't wait to go back. This is a family restaurant. Kid friendly. Staff was welcome and just plain wonderful 🏆”

“We have generally had good food and service the last couple of times we've been here. The burgers are really good - homemade buns and quality hamburger. The clam chowder is heavy on potato and bacon flavor. I wouldn't call it clam chowder at all. The staff is friendly and attentive. Biggest issue: Before we go out, we peruse menus on line. Unfortunately, Bridgewater has not updated their dishes or prices since before COVID. I chose this place based on being able to get sweet potato fries (a treat!) and they no longer serve them. The meals were a couple of dollars more than what is posted on the web. *One other "small" thing..... the red onions they put on the salads are VERY strong and hot, chopped into small pieces. (This is easily remedied by soaking them in milk during prep. It would upgrade the meal substantially, as the onion dominates.)”

My wife requires gluten-free options due to health issues. They have a gluten free menu with amazing options. “I've been coming in for years and never had a bad experience! The staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating, even when they are packed. They have a solid menu with great variety, but I've only had the burritos and they are delicious every single time! The booths by the back window are the best. You can't beat a direct view of the Siuslaw River while you eat Mexican food. I've taken kids in to eat as well and it's great because they have a kids menu and have chips and salsa to snack on while you wait. I highly recommend Traveler's for any occasion!”

“Upscale Italian restaurant in Florence. Nice atmosphere - restaurant is located in a converted house with tasteful decor. It's almost like visiting someone's home. Very good service. We enjoyed the crab cake starter, Caesar salad and bread. Wine list was small, but not a problem since they had all good wines to choose from. Our main courses were excellent -- scalloping and clams con linguine, and presented well. Of course our desserts were stellar as well. Chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu. An overall excellent dining experience. We'll be back.”

“When we were passing through Florence we stopped by Big Dog's for a quick brunch. Literally only took the cook five minutes to make our food. She was super fast and we were able to get back on the road quickly. Loved the way they flipped an old gas station into a Donut shop and Deli. The Donuts were delicious and still very fresh tasting even though it was almost noon. The sandwiches were made well. Mine was a bit greasy but overall they were both super tasty. Accessible parking and entrance area, don't know about the bathroom but they do have one. I definitely find the donuts and sandwhiches to be great.The only recommendation I have is to get rid of the flies and really deep clean through out the entire place.”
