Salishack Tavern

You have just found the best dive bar on the planet! This has been my go-to bar for many years. The new owner Doug S. recently completed some renovations and improvements without gentrifying this coastal gem. Where to start- the food is fairly priced and is of high quality. Basic bar fare, but the menu includes some items that are genuinely excellent, for example, the Gyro sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. The loaded hot dog is the BOMB! The smoked meat items are prepared in-house and are fresh and delicious. Full bar, and I have never encountered any stale beer. Michelle provides the hospitality and slings the drinks. But what makes this establishment interesting is the people that walk in the door- locals, day trippers, motorcyclists, World Mark vacationers, seasonal visitors, and even pilots. Aviation access is easy from the nearby Siletz Bay State Airport. Tie down your airplane, walk several hundred meters in a westerly direction, then CAREFULLY, RUN across Highway 101, climb the steep stairs, turn right, and you are there!

What a great experience! Lots of friendly people having a great time socializing and eating and.. listening to good music! Food was good and service was great! And no MASKS!!!

This place is a fine example of a wonderful neighborhood bar. Friendly staff, prompt service, tasty cocktails, good food, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a local style tavern near our rental. The management was quite friendly. I ordered a BLT and it was extremely good. Oh the Lotto machines were friendly too ;)
