Beautiful breakfast. This is an example of caramelized banana French toast and the Loire omelette with two strips of succulent bacon! Great service, excellent atmosphere although a bit tight.
How do I put this without sounding like an ad?
It was AMAZING.
I had some sort of artichoke egg sandwich type thing.
Topped with this delectable sauce.
(My capacity for remembering French names is low.)
It was the best breakfast I've had in Newport!
(Probably the best breakfast I've had in a couple years.)
On top of the absolutely scrumptious meal, the atmosphere and customer service were equally on point.
4 out of five, only because I think public wifi would be a BIG move.
My boyfriend and I were traveling from Portland, and he found this place because I told him I only want to eat at really good restaurants. It started with us sharing their phenomenal savory homemade bread . Then we were served the most delicious cocktails, Mike had one made with Ube, and mine was made with rose and lavender, and they were both so delicious. We shared a lamb dinner and had croquettes for an appetizer. This place is small and intimate, and we sat next to the kitchen and we could see the chefs cooking our meal. Every ingredient in this meal experience was fresh, beautiful, and tasty.
Eating here was a beautiful foodie experience!!!
What an excellent experience! Personable culinary perfection, never had i experienced such wonderful duck, and my cappuccino was perfectly made.
Apart from a few boisterous fellow consumers, i enjoyed the conversation in the dynamic environment offering an excellent place to sit and draw for a bit.
Being a small kitchen everything came exactly when i wanted it offering brief interludes between courses.
Certainly one of my favorites.
This cafe is fabulous!!! My husband and I eat here every weekend...it
has become our favorite in Newport! Come hungry, because after
your meal you are going to want to order dessert!!!! If you feel to
full, be sure to take a pastry or slice of cake with you for later.
Eggs Benedict is a favorite, along with the steak sandwich, and
the Monte Cristo is out of this world delicious!!! Large portions
are served so you never leave hungry. Quaint charm for this
French cafe, with staff welcoming as you dine. Please visit this
wonderful place often so we can keep this treasure in Newport
open!
