The Hill Buffet & Grill

With every visit to Newport this is always one of our musts! Love the food and the service. It's nice getting to see our favorite waitress who has been there for quite some time. She always provides exceptional service! The food is great and the view is spectacular.

The food is decent, its your typical quick buffet style hit or miss food, but the salad bar is super fresh, the pizza is really good, and they have grill to order steak which is a nice addition. The main takeaway though is the five star service, and the breathtaking view of the ocean. 100% would recommend stopping here. (They are back to normal style buffet serving)

Good for a fast sit-down dining experience if you aren't expecting gourmet dining. The salad bar is nice but the steam table offerings are usually under- or over-cooked and the variety never changes. Way too pricey for what they deliver.

In the hour we were there their wasn't a new pizza put out. The pizza that was out was old. The salad bar was great as was the chicken and sides. Those were refreshed. Very nice people.

This was our first visit (but it won't be our last) to The Hill Buffet & Grille.

Max, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful in pointing out the gluten free options available and made a delicious gluten free pizza especially for us.

The mashed potatoes, gravy, marinara sauce, honey chicken, and vegetables were gluten free, along with their unseasoned cooked-to-order steak.
Everything on the well-stocked and maintained salad bar was attractive, fresh and gluten free except the croutons. Our gluten free patron was very happy.

Along with the steak option is tempura cod which is excellent and also cooked-to-order. The fish is perfectly cooked and the batter is crispy and not greasy. The tartar sauce was also delicious.

The fried chicken was a big hit with another person in our party. Also, there is a very nice selection of pizzas and you can request a particular kind of pizza as well.

The staff was attentive and plate removal and drink refills were frequent and unobtrusive.

The view from The Hill is spectacular and we were there at sunset so it was beautiful. We felt welcomed and appreciated. We are already looking towards another visit to The Hill.
