Golden Town Buffet

I went to Golden Town last Monday with my parents, the little boy I babysit on a regular basis and his mother. The food was good, as usual, but it was our service that has prompted me to give them 5 stars. While we were trying to get the 3 year old to pray with us, our waitress came over and prayed with him, which was amazing. After that, she played with him from across the room (ducking behind counters and such) to keep him happy and from getting bored. She brought him more Jello when he ran out, and was helpful when we asked what dairy desserts they have. Then when we were close to done she brought over a very special, dairy free cookie from her own lunch that her mom had made so that he could have it. He hasn't had a homemade chocolate chip cookie in months and he just got the biggest grin on his face. Ariana works on Monday evenings, and I you need someone who will be extremely sweet, loving, and keep your young children happy throughout their meal, I'd suggest checking them out then. She was easily the best waitress we've ever had. Thank you.

For being one of the only buffets in Albany (Izzy's). Golden Town is pretty good. My favorite part is the Mongolian style grill they have where you can get noodles, veggies, and protein grilled up fresh in front of you. i have always missed Mongolian Grill since it left Albany and this makes up for it a little. the buffet is pretty alright, nothing super fantastic but also nothing gross. The food is what you would expect a decent Chinese buffet would be. the service is always friendly and fast. I'm always welcome with a smile and good attitudes. you can also take your food home if you want to pay by the pound. not bad if you just want to eat at home or are taking it to someone who cant be there. Dinner prices can be pretty spendy. really the only reason we don't go that often. also the reason i have 4 stars. nonetheless they have good food and nice service and am glad they are part of Albany.

Great food that is hot, fresh, and constantly being refreshed. A few favorites among my family are the marinated mushrooms, green beans, coconut chicken, chicken skewers, and broccoli beef.
Friendly service from the moment you walk through the doors to the time you pay the check.
The entire establishment is clean from the floors to ceiling, and restrooms as well.
A huge bonus for a buffet restaurant is that you can fill up a to go container of your favorites for about $5-6 per pound!

This place is definitely one of the finest place in the neighborhood. Always when I go there I am greatly satisfied. They manage their very high level service and the highest level of dishes they serve. You no doubt will love this place. Highly recommended.
