La Margarita Rest and Grill

I'm from Southern California and when traveling, it is very difficult to find good Mexican food. La Margarita offers delicious food, attentive service and good value.

The restaurant could be considered in downtown Salem but is worth it. The margaritas are crazy good. The chips (homemade daily) are fresh and warm. The salsa is also fresh and has a small hot spicy kick. You will ask for seconds. The burritos are delicious and for some unknown reason taste the best in Salem. I may be going out on a limb but there food is that good. If you are in the mood for excellent Mexican food you have to try La Margarita in Salem. My favorite is Enchilada Suiza. Go there once and you will go back!

Chicken Chimichanga had good flavor, but wish that the outside had been crispy. I am sure that they would have done that if I had known to ask. Both the beans and the rice were good as was the service. Cheese dip lovers, be aware that their cheese dip is orange and not the white cheese dip. The chips were warm and crisp and the salsa was good. I would go back again. Oh... and the sour cream was exceptional.
