Straight From New York Pizza

My family loved the huge slices of pizza. The flavor was super. The texture was great and it was fun to fold them in half like they do on New York! Thanks!

I was pleasantly surprised by this small hole in the wall place. I helped a friend down town and she's bought me a slice. I liked the fact that the crust was crispy. Not a lot of options that I prefer so I had a basic pepperoni. If I'm in the area, I'd grab another slice.

There are actually two locations in Salem for this establishment, but the Liberty Street (downtown) location is most convenient. Really good pizza offered up here, and you can get it by the slice if you don't want a whole pie. Outside tables along the sidewalk, and small eating area inside. This is a downtown staple. You mainly order a slice or two and a soda and sit at a long narrow bar facing the wall. Current editions of newspapers are hung from the wall so you can read while you eat. The crust is thin, toppings are good quality. You can't go wrong.

This is the original location, and happily been going for about 25 years! Love the veggie pizza with the pesto base. I ask for it double toasted so it is nice and hot. Main staff who work there have been there for years and are so friendly and customers wave to them through the window as they walk by (including me!). Great deal of $3 if you go between 3-5pm. The green salad and a breadstick is good as well. Go support a long-time local business!

I’ve been eating pizza here for years! I love their pizza, it reminds me of growing up in New York. It has the same taste, texture, flavors of the old pizza place I ate at when I was a kid. The inside of the pizzeria is even similar in that it’s small, crowed and either the kitchen and chef visible.
