Venti's Cafe + Basement Bar

This place is a true gem. They have a very well prepared and varied menu. The beer selection is impressive as well. The wait staff is friendly too. The vegan options are much appreciated.

I came here tonight with two friends. The atmosphere was really cute and had a really nice flow to it. We walked up to the register to order, I got the spicy Mac and cheese, my friend got the plain Mac and cheese, my other friend got a mushroom blue cheese burger, and we ordered an appetizer of spicy tots. The wait wasn’t bad at all, our food arrived about 5-10 minutes after we ordered. Although the food wasn’t bad, it wasn’t super great either. My spicy mac was spicy, but had very little flavor. I feel like it definitely needed some thing. One of my friends said the same thing about her plain mac, saying that she thought it lacked salt. My other friend said his burger had great buns, and sauce, but again said it lacked seasoning. However, the spicy tots were amazing and I would definitely come back just for those.

Casual easy environment; order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. Great vegan options and lots of other good selections for just about any palate. Street tacos were larger than your typical street tacos. I had them for lunch with black bean walnut crumble - yum! They also have a full bar and happy hour. Great spot in downtown Salem.

Great intimate date night, again. Always an awesome craft beer selection and the farm house burger with spicy tots, the salted beef nachos, and starting with the happy hour wings is our winning combination. We'll be back again next date night!
