Very tasty and rich Cajun food in PDX. Remarkable flavors, but a little skimpy on the portion sizes/main components of menu items.
We went for Portland Dining Month, 3 courses for $33. We also ordered a fancy cocktail and two appetizers. Everything was phenomenal (except the 1st course salad) and I would recommend ordering the appetizer shrimp--WOW...I would drown in that broth. We got phenomenal service as well. Can't wait to go back!
We came here for Portland Dining Month. So far, this was the most underwhelming experience. We had hushpuppies, corn bread, house salad, catfish, jambalaya, shrimp creole, and bread pudding. While they were all good, I'm not compelled to go back.
We had a great time here on New Years Eve. The four course meal was splendid. Between the four of us we ordered and sampled most of what was on the menu. The gumbo, sirloin, and bread pudding were my favorites of the night.
Wasn’t expecting to find a Cajun restaurant in the Pacific Northwest but was really happy when I found this place on a recent visit. We had andouille sausage as an appetizer; entrees for our table were the jambalaya, gnocchi, gumbo and catfish. Everyone loved their meals and the plates were large enough to where we all needed boxes for leftovers. We had to take the desert (bread pudding) home because there was so much food. Food and service were great. Parking is only available on the street but that’s pretty normal for most restaurants in the area.
