Unbelievable place! There is so much care that goes into these fish and chips you can tell with every bite! Normally I would have a photo included of the beautiful presentation but I just dove right in before the camera came out. Best fish and chips in town, I would highly recommend and will be back!
Arlo’s is our favorite food cart in that pod! I’d recommend getting the largest portion because you are going to wish you ordered more of the fish once you try it! The batter compliments the fish perfectly. Tartar and coleslaw were both tasty. Fries seemed to be made in house and were perfectly salted. Overall, just very fresh and everything you want in a fish and chips.
I've had lots of fish and chips in my life and Arlo's is up there with some of the best. The fish is fresh and delicious, the breading is just the way I like it, and the frying is usually spot on and perfect. The tar tar sauce is legit, the clowslaw is bomb, and the fries are salty and amazing. Do it!
Ate here for the first time. Excellent experience!! Fish was awesome, coleslaw was delightful, tarter was yummy too!! The woman cooking our food was warm and friendly. We don't live in Portland, and that might be a good thing, or we might be back every day!! LOL!!
This is some of the best fish and chips in Portland and it's from a cart. I'd stay away from the $1 extra for a coleslaw just because craziness and coleslaw is in a word... Crazy, but the fish is worth going back for and the fries are fries. Personally I prefer malt vinegar but the tartar sauce was yummy too
