Wonderful atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Food was delicious and perfectly portioned. Definitely coming back soon!
The food here is excellent! The staff is also very nice and friendly as well as very helpful, they do a good job of explaining the dishes. I was already familiar with most of the dishes but I did over hear them helping other customers with what each dish was and the ones that they helped seemed to understand well what they should expect. I had the soon su bu seafood soup, with is a soft tofu soup with various seafood elements in. It was good but not the best one I have come across in Portland, but it was very tasty. The Bimibab that I got for my dad was the spicy pork and it was fantastic. The capchae I got for my mom was really good to she ate the entire thing very quickly and she rarely finishes. The cafe is small and quaint very much like a deli more than a sit down restaurant. I intend to come back again for lunch. Everything I ordered to eat there and take back for my parents was delicious.
Good-sized portions. Very rich miso soup. Ddukkbokki had a great balance of spicy and sweet. Rice cakes were soft, but not mushy. Egg was cooked well (and not overcooked). Would come here again!
I've always had tasty food here, with really reasonable prices. Great friendly service! While this is a more foreign friendly version of authentic Korean dishes, it's super satisfying, very fresh, and always great flavors.
Pro tip: call ahead and take it to go! Orders are usually ready within 15 min even when they're busy. Cute interior, very limited seating and cafe style.
I love this place. Jap Chae and kibimbap are their best. The kimchee soup is great as well.
