Charro's Street Tacos

We at a neighboring restaurant have become very keen on stopping by on our lunch breaks. Service is always fast, food is tasty, and the employees have always been friendly.

Apparently the recipe for the food has been passed down in the family and is well worth trying at least once. Especially when they cater well for allergies.

This has to be the best Mexican food in the state of Oregon. Possibly in the entire PNW....

Outside of Mexico City, I’ve never had more fresh, delicious and inexpensive Mexican food anywhere in town.

Get the mulitas, seriously. I eat 5-6 at a time and leave wondering how food can taste so good.

Owner is super friendly too. My favorite cart in Portland by far, and possibly favorite place to eat in Portland overall. Unreal. Go. Seriously. Stop reading and go!

The folks running the place are very friendly and clearly passionate about their food. The Carribean tacos and molitas are my favorite, and it's especially good with the sweet habanero sauce. The veggie torta with egg on it was also killer. I just got back from a trip to Ensenada and I can tell you that Charro's holds up to the tacos I had there. Highly recommend!

I got the Portlander with chicken! They were almost out of the chicken so he made me some fresh!! Soooo good!! Very lovely couple that run it, I’m seriously regretting not getting a picture of my burrito, but trust me, it was the bomb! Sauces are delicious also! I love having a food cart option within walking distance to me!

Wasn't sure if they were cash only like some food carts, but they take cards here too. Got a steak burrito. The meat, veggies, and tortilla were all fresh, delicious, and well prepared. Also had an interesting sweet salsa on the side that was quite good. Nice addition to the neighborhood!
