Cheerful is a nice bar. Always a crowd favorite and I stopped in for a beer after years and it looks great. Updated, more spacious, and an overall fun place. Took a star off for the pool table not having 360° of play but nice touch with the slot machines and the safety breathalyzer. Always good service. I would recommend for happy hour and food. They also have dollar beer Thursdays since way back in the day.

Brittany is an amazing server!! Our weekly group of 5-15 people is never a problem for her, she's always on top of our orders and clearing empties. We come here because it's close to campus but honestly Brittany is the MVP. She's never forgotten or messed up an order, she is so good at her job and I want to make sure she gets the kudos she deserves.

Easily the best bar in Portland (although the Cheerful Bullpen is a close second ;). The food is incredible, the drinks are strong, and the staff is Awesome. This place is a must-go-to on any weekday after work. When you go, make sure you get their wings, as they are insanely good!

Amazing place for cheap eats in the heart of the PSU campus. I love going here in the happy hour, known as the cheerful hour here, for reasonably priced options for food and drinks. The daily specials are awesome, love the Tuesday deal of 3 dollar tacos and 3.50 dollar margaritas, although cheap they taste really good. The overall vibes are super chill, you can relax with friends and the best part for me is the option of all-day breakfast. No need to write more, super chill cheap dive bar ambiance, recommend to check it out if you are in the area. the draft beer selection is pretty varied and balanced as well.
