Still a great SW hangout! Great chicken too. Love the dog friendly area with fire pit.
The dill sauce that came with the fries was bomb!!!!! Unbelievable! Why don't more places serve this stuff? We got lucky on the day we stopped in & ordered food to go. While we waited, a informal jam of musicians was happening in the back by the bar. All kinds of cool instruments & people playing them. Folk-type music coming from musicians that were older & really experienced. We stayed for 30 minutes listening & smiling, it was great.
This place was so close to being amazing! The fried chicken is crispy and light, the fries are seriously huge and for a great price no less. Alas, the food tasted like salt never existed, there was no punch to the flavor. (Except the mac salad which was great) If you are sensitive to the sodium, Fryer Tuck may be more suited for you.
It was the only bar around that was doing anything the weekend before Halloween. And it was pretty cool. A few people were dressed up which that was nice including the bartender. They had a live band and they even played some Halloween classic hits. I had so much fun with my girlfriend. And I definitely felt welcomed. I did not eat any food but I wish I did
