If you like to eat, this place is perfect. All of the classic southern comfort foods you love, but VEGAN. Nice sized portions of delicious food, good beer choices, friendly staff and extra large dining area right in the heart of St. John's. It can get a lil crowded on the weekend, but the wait time is never too long. Really worth checking out! Oh and they cater too.
Wow! I didn’t like Homegrown Smoker when I first visited back in May, but the new recipe (with banana blossom!!) for the fish and chips is amazing. I also love the wings, but those wings are good at any restaurant. Well done!
So lucky to live close to this place of limitless vegan indulgence. Super kind staff, nice interior, delicious food. Watch out, I can easily spend $30 here and not regret it because it tastes so good.
I went to Portland for a vacation and food here was incredible. Out of all the vegan restaurants I went to Homegrown Smoker surpassed everything else. The food was so good it was almost concerning. Everything was super tasty but personally I would recommend the smoked “chicken” it reminded me of the smoked (real) chicken my dad would make while growing up. If you find yourself in Portland, this restaurant is a MUST!
This place is SO good. I had a combo plate and tried the seitan ribs, soy curls, greens, and beans. Everything was delicious and generous portions.
Also, for what it’s worth, I’m not vegan but the food here ticks all the BBQ boxes. Smoky, rich, tangy and filling. I wish I lived near here so I could make it a regular thing.
