All you can eat, a variety of foods to choose from. Price is about average but you pay extra for beverage. But the food is pretty good and employees are friendly and always cleaning up so there are seldom messes waiting for someone to clean.
There are very few buffets around this area and I am glad they are still around.

Decent choices. Food could have been a lot warmer. Enjoyed the meal. Wasn't too crowded.

This buffet is so perfect!!! There's a huge selection and it's all you can eat. The servers were really helpful and the food was great!! I ate 3 plates and took my time. I felt comfortable the entire time. My favorite part was the dessert selection.

There isn't many places you can go to get to quality food and all you can eat for 10.00. The place is clean and the people are helpful and friendly. Plan to go again real soon.
I had meat loaf , chicken, fried fish, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, salad loaded with everything. For dessert brownie covered with hot fudge topped with vanilla ice cream and also had a piece of cheesecake topped with strawberries. Everything I had was very good.

There are so many foodie places in Portland. That being said, Hometown Buffet is not one of them, but I am still giving them a 5 star review. There are times where I want to feel like I am eating at either a potluck or at an extended family members house during the holidays. The variety is good and quality is fair. Staff here is nice and not bothersome. Today, on Veterans Day, they gave out free meals to all vets, meaning a profit loss as they were slammed. Many businesses will say they support vets, but won't walk the talk when it comes to their bottom line or staffing. When I returned from Iraq, I had a hard time finding employment because I was still in the national guard and I couldn't always be available for the employer. (even though that's illegal, but what vet wants to work for that type of company) Previously, that made me question serving in our armed forces as compared to my peers who went straight to college. Most companies in Oregon don't offer Vets discounts or special promotions. This company opened their doors today knowing they would lose money for every vet that came in, and did it with a smile and gracious hospitality. Thank you Hometown Buffet. I hope to work for a company like yours one day.
