We had an awesome experience in this place. We liked the excellent environment and the meals. The staff are super attentive. I am happy we finally managed to try this restaurant.
Really cozy place with some great Filipino food.
The portions are a tad on the small side but the food was really good with some interesting twists on dishes I grew up on (and some I had never had before).
The pork was the star of the show. Chicken adobo was OK. Cornish hen meant it’s on the small side and a half bird made it even smaller. Probably good for one person, but sharing is tough.
Dessert was fantastic with a pavlova being my favorite. Filled with kalamansi cream and some hazelnuts and mandarin orange segments. So delicious.
The staff was fantastic as well. Really invested in your experience and knew the courses inside and out.
Went here recently with a party of 6. It was all our first time to check out this spot, which had come highly recommended by friends. Incredibly busy and crowded, we all tightly squeezed into a table. We weren't sure how much to order, as far as portions. Our server recommended that 5-6 dishes would be enough. The food was tasty, however the portions were much smaller than even our server had advised. We each ended up spending about $25 / person for a total of 5 dishes, which was no where near enough food. We all left feeling hungry, and that we had spent more than it was worth. Our friends who recommended the location also were surprised with how much our bill was, we later discovered that they have raised the prices in the past 3 months - which makes no sense. For what you get, it feels pricey and not incredibly worthwhile. If the dishes were a few $ less on average, that would be more in-line, and apparently what it was only a few months prior.
Get ready for some BEAUTIFUL, restaurant-quality home cooking. Complex flavors in a casual restaurant vibe, and seeing the chef's mom in the kitchen was one of the more heart-warming things I have ever seen. Minimal menu, packed with flavor, and great service. The desserts leave something to be desired.
I love to try new types of food and was looking forward to this meal. Magna did not disappoint, it had amazing new flavors, mix with a friendly and helpful staff and it's a fantastic meal! Only tried a few items, but will go back to taste the dishes I missed.
