Huge portions, great home style breakfast food. Friendly service and this place is open 24/7! Where else in town are you going to find all this in one spot? Hard to beat for late night eats.

It's a picture perfect 24 hour dive.
Servers tend to have a short attitude, yet they are fast and efficient.
The place looks old and run down, yet is clean.
And the food is fantastic, and there is LOTS of it.
Not your place if you want something upscale, but if you are hungry at 3 AM this place is perfect.

I treasure places like this in Portland. No nonsense, fair prices, generous portions, and delicious food! No other place in town comes close to how good these hotcakes are. The hashbrowns are amazing too. I usually get eggs over easy as well and they're always perfectly cooked. If you're looking for great classic breakfast food, look no further.

Original Hotcake House can be a little tough to get to since the road it is on has some barriers and one ways behind it, but it is totally worth coming here. They serve huge portions for a very good price, and their food is delicious. Their pancakes are super filling, so don't go overboard, but you need to get hashbrowns because they are made fresh and are great. Service is good, the food comes out pretty quickly even though it's made to order.
