Got the reggie deluxe. It was good and very filling. It doesn't really compare to Word of Mouth's biscuit sandwich located in Salem but it's okay. The area is very hip and near impossible to find parking. Not a place I'm hyped about coming back to.

Queue up, order and pay at the counter before you take a seat with your number. The food will be delivered to you but you shall bus your own table. I won't recommend large groups here as most tables seat 2 or 4. I used Google Maps to time my visit here and beat the early rush on a Sunday morning. Be warned, the line moves slowly. The food is great. The biscuit is heavily buttered. Nice crust on the outside and soft on the inside as it should be. The fried chicken is quite juicy and tender. The gravy is as described, thick and flavorful. A very solid execution.
I deduct 1 star because the staff couldn't be bothered helping my buddy when asked about cups for water. They ran out of cups and the answer he got was "should be there" with a shrug and walks away.

The biscuits are amazing! These biscuits are what Southern biscuits are supposed to be like. Super light but with a flavor all their own! The gravy is rich and flavorful!

The service was quick and polite. And the place has a wonderful pleasantly noisy atmosphere.

Finally had a chance to visit Pine State's new spot in NW Portland. I love it! The interior is super cool with tall ceilings, exposed duct work and wooden tables. The sausage gravy is amazing as are the biscuits..and did I mention bottomless cups of coffee? Nice ????

Awesome! We had their fried chicken biscuit sandwich a long time ago at the Farmer's market. However, the line there is way too long now. Luckily, this new location has plenty of seats. You order and pay at the counter, then they'll bring the food to your table. The system works pretty well. There is a line, but the tables turn over pretty quickly.
We got the Reggie and the special (forgot what it was called.) My son got blueberry pancakes. Everything was delicious. They have 2 hot sauce, a Texas hot sauce and Aardvark secret sauce. Those were perfect for the biscuit sandwiches. All in all, a great place to stop by if you're in the neighborhood. Can't go wrong.
