Sammich PDX

Really great pastrami, so deeply flavorful with a perfect balance of smoke/salt/fat/seasoning. Best in Portland. I love the enthusiasm of the staff. I will be coming back regularly!

We had the Pastrami Zombie and Zombie Fries. It was perfect. The meat was super tender, and tasted like fire. The fries were gooey and spicy without any sogginess. We will definitely be back!

First, the positives: friendly service and good quality ingredients.

Now, the more critical part: my Chicago Italian Beef sandwich was tasty, but it was not what I would consider a Chicago Italian Beef sandwich. Nor was the giardiniera anything like what I would call giardiniera. It was more like salsa. The “gravy” was OK but like the meat, was, in my opinion, greatly under seasoned, for Chicago Italian Beef.

Still, it was tasty in its own right, and the beef portion was generous. Also, they appear to have a number of other appetizing sandwiches, which I hope to try at some point.

This was so good, I don't know why I took so long to try this spot out. I got a tuna melt and I was very impressed by how fresh the tuna was, I felt like I was at the beach. I also had their soup of the week, French onion soup and it was so flavorful and delicious. I will be back again most definitely. Warning, this food will put you to sleep omg
