Saucebox is divided in two sections, one with a darker bar/dining atmosphere with music and the next with a nice quieter dining room. The decorations and atmosphere were really nice and the food was fantastic as well. It may be a little pricey for sinner but they have excellent happy hour specials. I got the sampler plate which was the perfect amount of food for dinner. The tapioca dumplings were the best out of the plate. Such an interesting texture and such delicious filling!

Visited for Portland Restaurant Month and had the $33 per person menu. It was great and had a wonderful time with my wife there. Our waiter was great and the service was spot on. We went there on the early side, around 5pm since we had to get home by 7pm for the kids. We had the whole dining room to ourselves until around 6:20p. Will definitely be on my go to list again.

This restaurant is fantastic. With that being said, do yourself a favor and don't bring kids here. We didn't realize this isn't really a "kid friendly" establishment (we were visiting from out of town), however, they did an amazing job accommodating us anyhow and never made us feel unwelcome. I have a 3 year old and 1 year old, and with my husband and mom, we came here celebrating my birthday. They put us in a nice private corner spot and even had a high chair for my 1 year old. It was never loud, it was quite intimate, and we were there on a Saturday evening. They don't have any kid friendly menu items, but they did keep the white rice and edamame coming for them, which kept them happy and tame. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls, potstickers, a poke dish, and the chicken skewers. We were hoping my daughter would like the chicken skewers but they were super super bland and boring. My one year old wouldn't eat more than 2 bites of it and he eats pretty much anything. They had a peanut sauce on the side that my husband liked, but nobody else was thrilled about. Nobody at the table liked the chicken skewers. The potstickers were so awesome, we ended up getting a second order. All of the sushi we had was fantastic. The one roll with lobster everyone loved so much we ordered a second one. All of the fish was extremely fresh and all of the flavor combinations were awesome. Everyone loved the sushi. On to our waitress. She was amazing! She had such a great personality, was so patient with us, and just overall so very kind. We were getting pretty frustrated that our food wasn't coming out, only to realize our poor waitress thought that the servers were bringing out our food and they never did their job. Not her fault, she felt really bad and had it all rushed out as soon as she figured it out, so if your food is slow, bring it up to your waitress/waiter. She was pretty on top of everything but they had her spread really thin that night and we could tell. She was definitely doing her best. Everyone that worked there was so so kind to us, and never made us feel bad about having our little kids there. All in all, this restaurant is on the more expensive side, but pretty on par with the other nicer sushi restaurants in town that we have been to. It's the perfect date night spot for sure. We will definitely return when we return to Portland, but with our kids, we will probably just order it to go! :)

This Asian fusion restaurant is a must have.. The food and music and atmosphere isnt overwhelming. Relaxed environment.... With a sink outside of the bathroom to encourage people to wash their hands. The food and drinks are really good
