Verde Cocina at Sylvan Highlands

What an awesome restaurant! Mexican + healthy fusion. The whole family loved it including picky seven-year-old! As I recall the whole menu is gluten-free. Loved the kale and sweet potato veggies, everything on the menu here was great and I visited multiple times within my five day visit in Portland!

Very unique and tasty meals! Nice wait staff as well. Surprised the place wasn't filled at lunch today.

I only wish this place was in a better location-- it has a lot of potential to be a late night bar and a great option for lunch/dinner. I come for the food and the bartender made a fantastic and whimsy cocktail. It's medium-high priced but I'm not yet disappointed with their menu and authentic flavor.

For the restaurant managers: The ambiance/vibe at night needs more music and less sports on TV, especially when 3/5 people were employees or colleagues at the bar top. It's dead on a week night but try not to deter the few customers away with this stale vibe.

Amazingly delicious food and great atmosphere. Staff makes you feel like you're part of the family. Definitely going back soon!

We are from Texas and hit this restaurant with our local family. It was great. Lots of room, indoor and outdoor seating. The weather was great but we stayed indoors. The food is more interior Mexican and not Tex Mex, which for me is great. My wife prefers Tex Mex. We had chips, salsa, tacos, etc. Everything tasted fresh and clean. They also had gluten free options. The service was great. Would go back.
