Prodigal Son Brewery & Pub

This place has a great story to the buildings, owners and why they started the brewery. I think the service is great, beer is good, but the food definitely needs some work. Skip the french fries for sure!

Amazing as always! This place is known for amazing burgers but grilled cheese just sounded perfect after a night out. The Pit Boss is also an amazing meal.

The beer was really good. It was a hot day and some of the lighter options tasted amazing. We split some appetizers (tots and cheese curds), and they tasted great as well. Friendly service, fun downtown setting, definitely a "recommend." Kids were welcome as well.

We have been going to Prod since the beginning as I lived 1 block away when they opened and we continued to go there until we moved in 2015. We happened to be in town, and decided we would go and enjoy a once favorite spot of ours for dinner. We got to the restaurant about 715pm, and there were hardly any patrons, and the staff didn't really seem excited we were there. We ordered (the menu had a lot of the same great items), and then we got our drinks, and were discussing why it was so dead on a Saturday night at a place that was always packed on the weekends. Part of our order arrived, and we waited for the rest...it didn't come and the waiter never came back to check on us about our meal so far...so I had to go over to the bar and ask about our appetizer and the wings that I had ordered. There wasn't any sort of acknowledgement that sorry your whole order had not arrived yet, just a let me check on it. The rest of order came out and was fine, but the food quality appeared to be less than the years of visits before. Our little had a kids meal and they didn't bring his dessert, the ranch was extremely runny, and by the time we finished our meal, the restaurant was pretty much cleared out. We overheard a staff member letting someone know they close at 8pm now...so on a summer/weekend/evening in a tourist town, the pub/bar closes at 8pm. Didn't make a lot of sense, but also explained why there were not very many people around. Good place to eat, just didn't meet the expectations from the many memories that we had there before our move.

Such a cool place. From the decorations, to the menu, and the staff. This place is definitely a must visit if you're in Pendleton OR. and looking for a good bite to eat or just hang out and have a drink. They've got a ton of cool merchandise as well. I'll be going back for sure!
