the twice cooked ribs with sticky rice are amazing! the items are all so delicious and the flavors are so balanced. you will not regret eating from here!
Wonderfully delicious authentic Hmong food and excellent, friendly service. This was featured in Portland Monthly and in the Oregonian as their best new food cart last year and for good reason! We ate the stuffed chicken, jasmine rice, and Hmong sausage (juicy and spiced with anise) and it was very flavorful, and there are clean, covered tables that they share with a few other food carts. Do stop if in the area (or make the drive if in the Portland metro area!)!
The Phat chicken wing is the best in town. Stuffed with clear noodle, ground pork, green onion and spiced to taste like heaven in every bite.
I ordered the twice-cooked ribs with rice. The food took a bit more time to receive than my husband's Mexican food, but I didn't mind because it was delicious. The meat had the tenderness of slow-cooked meat with a very tasty, mild sauce. The rice was plentiful and delicious. A small container of coleslaw (or slaw-like salad) came on the side.
Love this place! Their food is so good. I especially love their sandwich called "The David" and their Phat Wings. Very yummy. The cart is easy to get to with good parking. It's never very busy and they get the food out quick. La is really nice and easy to talk to and her enthusiasm for her food makes the whole trip enjoyable. They put a lot of work into great products and it shows!
