Tasty, well done Germain fair, at higher price. A sister restaurant to Gustav's it shares similar dishes, but also has some great additions. Fondue is thicker than most we've had, very enjoyable. Two meals, fondue with sausage, and two root beers was over $70 with tip. Really enjoyed, but could get similar quality meal at Gustav's.
The food was pretty great! It seemed pretty authentic German food (plus some non German menu items). A great beer selection that is mostly German stuff as well.
Decor was nice and service good. Definitely worth a visit.
I'll give this one a solid 5 for service. Manager even came out because he didn't like the beef they had and didn't want to serve it, which is honestly great. Food was still great, we had assorted apps and salads and schnitzel, everything was great. I do recommend the outdoor seating, it's enclosed and well heated, and much quieter indoors.
Bargarten has a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, but overall isn't spectacular. The fondue is nice in a way that makes whoever is eating it feel warm and comforted, while the wiener schnitzel was similar to a flattened chicken nugget. The flavor was decent when paired with everything else on the plate, but there weren't any flavors that made it exciting to take the next bite. As for dessert, it was a similar experience. The meal was good, just not exciting.
