We started with hummus and fries, both of which were excellent. We all got Caspian kabobs, with chicken that was amazingly succulent. And we finished with baklava that nailed the sweet spot of not-too-sweet with a hint of savory. We can't wait to go back.”

I originally left a two star review for the takeout we ordered which we found to be expensive and not very fresh. The owner reached out to me personally for feedback and was very polite, gracious and humble. They even went as far to fully refund our meal. “Really wanted to like this place and support local small business. Unfortunately the food was very salty and did not taste very good. We ordered 3 different items (chicken burrito, bean and cheese burrito and fajitas). All were too salty. The people are super nice. The owner offered us samples of their nachos after he took some food pics. Mole sauce is delicious. I just wish the rest of the food wasn't so salty.”

We had the croquettes, spicy chicken plate, butter shrimp plate, & the rice n beans plate... Every main came with a dessert, so we tried the lemon, passion fruit, & chocolate mousses. “By far one of my favorite coffee shops in Portland! I have been a consistent customer at their drive through location for a while and was stoked to find out they opened a coffeehouse. According to the staff, the owner works with coffee roasters to create their espresso blend and it definitely shows- some of the best espresso I've ever had! Their cappuccino is killer, and the staff is always so nice and welcoming. Great local business to support if you're into coffee.”

But I just looked at the reviews and was surprised by some of them. I just want to note that as a Punjabi this food is legit- I’m surprised that a lot of Indians(non Punjabi’s are ranking it so low). “I tried Kings Bento for the first time today and plan on going back. I went around noon and there was plenty of foot traffic in and out along with most tables being full. The restaurant was very clean. Food was served quickly, but you could tell that things were being made to order. I ordered the Spicy Garlic Korean Wings, which were crispy and saucy. Super tasty. The portion size was excellent. A lot of food fit onto one plate. There was a lunch special advertised also. Kings Bento hasn't been open long, but is a good addition to this strip mall.”

At first it seemed like an average quick bite sort of place like the other places nearby but the moment we took our first bite, it changed our opinion. “Nice Starbucks one of the newest ones in the area. You can go inside and order now and it's usually quicker. Drive thru is pretty busy and along with online orders it's quicker to go inside. Staff is pleasant and service was excellent for how busy they were. Drive thru is quick and easy normally except for the weekends, go inside if you don't mind getting out of your car.
