Banning's Restaurant & Pie House

The prices are good. The food is good. The portions are acceptable for the cost. Its open 24hrs and its 1/4 mile off I-5 which makes it somewhat convenient. Its about a 10min drive from the Ross Island Bridge. Slightly out of the way living in Portland but worth it if Hotcake House is too full.

Banning's Restaurant &Pie is an excellent place to eat. The food is fresh, hot and always delicious with ample portions. Today we have the half sandwich (Turkey for me and Roast beef for my spouse) soup (very smooth and creamy clam chowder with lots of clams and not overwhelmed by potatoes) and slice of pie( huge slices of marionberry and sour cream lemon). We ended up taking half of each pie slice home as they were delicious but very generous in portion. There's a great Senior citizen menu with breakfast, lunch and dinner on the regular menu. They also have specials. The service is always excellent. There are choices of booths or tables. It's accessible to handicap individuals and has good parking. If you're looking for a wide menu selection, delicious food and really great service, you should Definitely give Banning's Restaurant &Pie House a try. You will be glad you did!!!

WOW! I've passed this place so many times. No longer!! Pot roast. Chicken pot pie. Real fried chicken. Such a great dinner menu! And I was too stuffed to even have a piece of pie. I will literally go there again this weekend to try breakfast. Service was great too.

Excellent breakfasts made from fresh ingredients. The Belgian Waffle was out of this world! My husband's skillet breakfast was enough for two meals. Expect to sign in and wait, but it's definitely worth it. Every employee was there to ensure your visit was enjoyable. We will definitely return.

Open 24 hrs! Always great food. Friendly people. Breakfast anytime. All the pies are incredible. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy. The clam chowder on Friday puts Mo's to shame. Can't say enough good things about this place. You will not be disappointed!
