Came in from Chicago, great weekend in Pittsburgh visiting family! We ended up at a small family owned restaurant outside of the city in East McKeesport and it was well worth it. I had the special at Renee’s, Chicken Ria. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, came with a side of mushrooms and roasted red skin garlic Parmesan potatoes, YUM! Definitely enjoyed my meal and would love to see what other specials they have as there were different ones for each day. A must go if in the area as I will be back when I’m there.
Wonderful experience! We’re from Indianapolis and have family in the Pittsburgh area. The food is always spot on. The “make your own pasta” menu item is great. Homemade sausage and meatballs along with—my favorite—the house vodka sauce, is so good! If passing thru East Mckeesport PA, this needs to be your “go to” family owned restaurant. Passionate owners and phenomenal head chef.
Nice restaurant with great service and food--highly recommend checking out!! Wheelchair accessible ????
Famous fish sandwich was great. Loved the wedding soup. We went on all you can eat pasta night. Kids loved the meatballs and cheese sticks. Lots of food for great price
You cannot beat the huge fish sandwiches here. The bread is the perfect blend of soft and chewy, and the whitefish planks are nicely breaded, crispy-fried, and a wonderful. Mix of flaky fish and crispy breading. Call ahead and order take-out, especially during Lent, because the place gets packed, fast. Parking is just about nonexistent but there are a scant handful of 15-minute carryout spots on the street.
