They have outstanding food and awesome sauces for they're meets. I personally love they're pork chop platters. I love the homemade cornbread. I've also had a cheese steak sandwich from here and it was to die for. I live a short distance up the road within walking distance and try to eat here whenever I can. I just wish they were open more often. And what's even better is the owners are my neighbors. The best part is they cook they're meats over an open pit wood fired fire.
The history behind the sauce is enough to make me want to go back. The strong cultural influence decades ago contributes to how they currently make their sauce ... with a heavy tomato flavor, this tradition continues in the Mon-Valley today.
Go get a 2lb pork steak drowning in sauce for $7.49. I dare you to chase it with a pork chop for $5.00! I ate it twice yesterday and I’m begging my wife to go back today! PS. Sit near the pit. (Written by a very passionate husband)
Just like ol Jeromes. If you know you know.
Great food...and very friendly.
The bbq sauce isn’t sweet or rich, let me just say that upfront. It’s tangy and spicy. Get you a half chicken, a half rack of ribs, some cheese fries with some 50/50 sauce for dipping and you’ll be in blissed out before you know it.
