Uncle Sam's Sandwich Bar

I've never been here where it's not been totally packed. Sandwiches are made fresh in front of you, and they are so packed full, they're hard for one man to eat. Fries are free, and they are so worth it.

it's a little claustrophobic since the restaurant is so small, but it's definitely worth checking out. Sandwiches, they do one thing. And they do it extremely well.

I love this place. Sweet potatoe fries with cheese and a cheese steak. Even better then the one downtown before they closed it. If your in the area definitely worth a taste.

I have been loving this place for a long time. They make a great sandwich, because they use great ingredients and they treat them right. IMHO, the Special Italian is the best sandwich in the world. My addiction began at the Oakland location, but they get it right out here too. They fry up the meat on a griddle, so it's hot and juicy, cooled by crispy shredded lettuce, onions, and a layer of mayo. Sprinkle a little Frank's Red Hot, and I'm in heaven.

The subs are amazing, great size for the price, they fill you up. Taste amazing, flavorful, fresh. O usually get a hamburger sub with bacon, fried egg, fried onion, lettuce. It's so amazing all the different fresh textures and flavors. Recommend TO ANYONE!

Great spot for a quick bite. Order at the counter, beer or pop available, have a seat and your food will be out to you in no time. Food is delicious. I recommend all sandwiches "hot". My particular favorite is the Ultra Uncle Sam's Special. Cool atmosphere with plenty of vintage Pitt photographs, paying tribute to the shop's roots.
