Brownsville Road House: Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding night. I wanted something special and not just a regular hotel. The Blue Room was very quaint and perfect for our first night as newly weds. The antique features of the room were very lovely and unique. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and happy for us to be there. Our bags were carried to our rooms. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine to celebrate. The breakfast was very good and we were offered for it to be delivered to our room but we chose to have it in the dining area to experience the full bed and breakfast aspect. The yogurt parfait before our breakfast was very delicious and a surprising touch! Protocols were being followed for COVID-19. We did not have any concerns staying here during the pandemic and felt safe. We highly recommend for a special occasion or just a little getaway!

Incredibly beautiful property with an intriguing history. Our room was gorgeous, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Top notch hospitality. Mr. Cranmer was so welcoming and kind, and very forthcoming in sharing the history of the home.

Convenient location, just a short drive to the city’s South Side neighborhood and downtown for restaurants or other activities.

Highly recommend giving this place a visit!

Location was perfect. The house is a 10 minute car or Uber trip into the city. Accommodations were clean, and the house itself had a ton of interesting conversation pieces placed throughout. The hosts were terrific and extremely helpful in guiding us to things to do in Pittsburgh. Food was excellent; the baked oatmeal was incredible. I would definitely recommend the Brownsville Road House to anyone staying in Pittsburgh.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Brownsville Road House. The Lincoln Suite had a separate sitting area with a small outdoor patio and the bedroom and bath were nicely fitted with lush linens and lemon verbena toiletries. So very thoughtful and comfortable. A bonus was how welcome we felt and at home our dog, Draper was greeted. Bob and Charlie were amazing! The breakfast was delicious especially the baked oatmeal and the outstanding freshly brewed coffee. We can't wait to go back!

This place is absolutely amazing!! We had booked the entire building for our wedding so we had a beautiful place to be photographed. All the rooms were absolutely beautiful and perfectly clean. The owners were highly knowledgeable on all the history of the building which made our stay even more wonderful. Each morning we had a terrific breakfast that was truly delicious. The potatoes are dynamite I highly suggest getting those. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely perfect. I can't even begin to say enough kind things about our experience here it was absolutely perfect!!! Thank you so much for everything it was truly our pleasure to be there and we all look forward to returning in the future!!!
