Great food at great prices. We had breakfast here. More of a bar but with seating indoors and outdoors. Friendly staff. A place where they'll remember you if you frequent.

We stopped at Cappy's one Sunday night after dinner, simply because it was open and we needed drinks. I was impressed that they were still serving food late, and there were only a handful of people there (all sitting at the bar). Our server was super nice and served us at a table. The drinks were good and I liked the laid-back atmosphere. If I was a Pittsburgh native, I feel like this is the type of place I would always go to. Everyone was super chill and friendly.

The only time I've had a bad time at Cappy's, it was because I just wanted a quiet drink and a sandwich and it turned out to be karaoke night. I recommend the chili - they use Italian sausage in addition to ground beef, which adds a bit of extra flavor. The french dip is also pretty good, though once it wasn't quite as toasty as I had hoped. Service is consistently good, whiskey pours are usually pretty solid, and prices are good for Walnut Street.
