Chan's Tea House

This is my grandfather's favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh because of their big egg/shrimp rolls. I think they're actually on the menu as something else, but either way, he's very picky about his egg rolls and this place makes the only ones he'll put a stamp of approval on even though it's a 20 minute drive to get there. Their other food is pretty good too, I got the pork lo mein and spring rolls and was very happy. Pretty big portions for dinner and good service! Bring you hot tea automatically.

The House Chow Mien was delicious and presented beautifully on a bed of crispy nooddles.
Portions are generous and prices are great.
We can't wait to return.

I love it at this place! Their food is so good. My family and I have been going to "Chan's" for years. Their Coconut Shrimp is great! All of their dishes are the best. We visit and eat at many high end restaurants where the food is good, yet. . .we always return to "Chan's" They don't charge as much as high end restaurants -yet, their food is just as tasty!

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here after reading somewhat mixed reviews. It seems that the new ownership has made a difference. It's a nice place to sit down and eat, but you can also get take-out. I found their brown sauces to be less salty than other Chinese restaurants. They also serve reasonable portions that are filling without being over-filling. The prices are also decent. We will definitely be back.
