El Burro

It is a relatively cheap place to eat. You can get food and drinks. The tacos were really good. It is a no frills place. There are quite some vegetarian and vegan options. The food tasted more authentic Mexican than most other Pittsburgh places. Tip: get the soft shell taco rather than the hard shell.

Great value for money. Huge quantities. Vegetarian options available. Breakfast burrito and chillaquilles are recommended.

I want this restaurant to be good and the base ingredients seem to be of good quality and preparation. However, it is really hard to be excited about the food here when something like chorizo, for example, is so lacking in flavor. Covering tacos in their salsa doesn't really help the flavor that much either. I was fine with the change up, but I will echo earlier reviews that my takeout order was slightly off (mixed up salsa and topping selection on different tacos). Not a huge deal, but demonstrates a lack of attention to detail.
