Golden Palace Buffet

I have been a loyal customer at Golden Palace since I started school at Pitt almost 6 years ago. Don’t pass them over - They have the best food (yes, I’m general) in Oakland. Today, I had an experience there unlike any other. As a buffet-style restaurant, the pandemic has likely had a large impact on their business. As somebody who would want them and their kind, friendly staff to stay in business, I tend to tip well. Today, I let them keep the change as usual, and wouldn’t you know she slipped an extra egg roll and a free Pepsi in my to-go bag. I didn’t notice until I got home, but I am so grateful and want you all to know that you’ve made my day. After 7 straight days of being called into work in the ER, this is exactly the kindness I needed. I hope everyone reading this chooses to support this business. Thank you for your kindness today, you’ve truly made my heart happy.

Super awesome college Chinese buffet. 9.75 includes all you can eat with drink. Dinner buffet. Mostly college kids, but nice and quite. Not a huge selection, but for the price, I love it. Also one of the few buffets I don't get sick at after I eat there. Huge plus.

The only Chinese buffet option around Pitt campus that serves varieties of veg and non-veg foods for so cheap price. I also like their behavior. Most of the items actually taste quite good! What else to ask for at such a cheap price?

For what this is, this restaurant is near perfect! It’s not the largest buffet, but the food is always super fresh and they have a pretty good vegetarian selection. The sesame tofu is my favorite! They also always have little donuts and fruit and also tea. I’ve been coming here for many years and I have to say I’m never disappointed in the quality has never gone downhill. Also the family that owns it is super nice. Highly recommend.

One of my favorite restaurants in the world. Been coming here consistently for years and honestly? I think food has gotten better over that time. Staff is friendly, it’s very affordable, and they have a poster from the 1992 World Series for some reason. I love it. I love it so much. Also I noticed some reviews claim that they don’t have dessert here, which is not 100% true, being that they have sugar donuts. The GOAT.
