The food is by no means bad, but I wasn't impressed. I've never been to Hungary, so I can't compare it to the real thing, but it was bland to lightly spiced. I came on a weekend and it was totally empty, which made for a glum atmosphere. The owner was nice enough, but I can see why she may rub some people the wrong way since she didn't seem very motivated. Maybe I didn't try the right stuff, but given the booming restaurant scene right now in Pittsburgh, there are far better options in the same price range (especially with Federal Galley near by).
Very interesting place. Have driven past it many times and thought ir was a washed up North Side bar / dive. Boy was I wrong. Great Hungarian food. Fresh and authentic. Good beer and wine selection. Friendly family atmosphere.
A great little place to eat at. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is amazing and is definitely authentic. Great for a simple place to break away from the usual American foods.
Was in town for business and my coworkers took me out for a happy hour and boy was this a great little find. Drinking a tropical Moscow mule was perfectly balanced in flavors. We had some pizzas (I recommend the mclovin) and buffalo cauliflower from one of the other stands, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The outdoor space was perfect for the June weather and I would recommend it to anyone.
My family and I loved the food!! Everything tasted homemade and so fresh. The customer service was fantastic! Our waitress went out of her way for our group and was so engaging. Can't wait to go back!
