Luke Wholey's Wild Alaskan Grille

This restaurant is my favorite. I go to a lot of restaurants but here I go the most. The team is very attentive and the cooking they offer is so fresh and tasty. I never decline to have a decent meal in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.

The food is great. The super friendly staff makes the place have a cozy feel. Nice talking to you Mr Wholey. We had lots of fun as usual... Sorry we missed Luke this year though. Happy Holidays.

Anyone visiting “The Strip” in Pittsburgh will want to take the time to make reservations for a spectacular dining experience. We invited guests from State College that had a first-time experience on The Strip yesterday evening. Although there are many good places in the area, we chose Luke Wholey’s Wild Alaskan Grill for its location and notably excellent seafood.

The Chef, Luke, is as local as you get that prepares any dish that is exceptionally well prepared and in good taste. The cuisine specializes in an array of seafood dishes that is delectable, surprising to the palate, and enjoyable from start to finish. The service staff is equally exceptional, pleasant, accommodating, gracious, courteous and friendly. Our favorite server’s name is Tammy.

We went in around 7pm and were seated right away. The server was nice and friendly. It took way too long to get our meals. I had a lobster roll and my husband had the fried fish. They were not complicated meals to cook and it was not busy in there. They got busier as we were there. Not sure why it took so long but it over shadowed the food. Very frustrating. The food was good though.

Delicious!! We ordered halibut, lobster roll and crab cakes and everything was great!! This was our first visit and we will definitely be coming back to try more. Every table was full, as well as all the bar seating. If you have never been and plan on trying, be sure to make yourself a reservation. Overall, food and service was spot on! Highly recommend!
