Paulie's BBQ

First, we can't beat the location! Walkable from our house is always a bonus.
The draft list was perfectly fine with a good variety. I'm an IPA type and my husband had a Pumpkin beer, Warlock.
The server was young, but was clearly trying hard and you could tell that she enjoyed her job and really wanted to provide great service.
We shared the whole wings for an appetizer and they were awesome! (garlic parm)
My husband had the full rack of ribs and I tried their pulled pork sandwich. Both were just ok. The sauce was tomato tasting and a bit sweet. Their macaroni and cheese was pretty decent.
All and all, it was fine...not amazing, not bad. We will be back to try their brisket and nachos for sure, as we like to give our business to a local establishment. The one thing that may stop me from being a frequent repeat visitor is their use of single use plastic products. Straws came with their drinks and the sides (mac & cheese) were served in plastic bowls. I think we all should be more aware of our impact to our environment and do better with protecting it.

We went to Paulie’s tonight and got a ton of food because we wanted to try as much as we could for our first time — we loved everything, but the ribs with the spicy BBQ was our absolute favorite. We thought the service was great, and we love the interior — such an awesome new spot. We will definitely be back really soon!

Great food. Excellent service. Excited to have an amazing BBQ within walking distance. Add lunch specials and I might make it my go to Friday lunch.

Got a full rack for pick up. I will say the potato salad was pretty good, but the macaroni salad was mediocre. Overall the ribs were decent, far from the best I've had, but not the worst. The sauce was good but the meat was pretty tough, definitely not even close to the fall-off-the-bone type stuff that makes for a superb rack of ribs. Maybe because I ordered right at 4 pm when they open, they didn't get to cook quite as long? Either way, you'd be better off going to Pittsburgh BBQ down off Banksville but this might be a decent alternative when they're closed for the winter.
