Silk Elephant

I feel the place is a bit underrated given the odd location. But I was disappointed by choice to visit it. The food was great with the creamy flavour of coconut milk shining through the curry dishes. They have spice level options ranging from 1 to 10, and the 6 and 7 we ordered were nice and spicy. The quantity was a bit on the lower side but is just enough to fill you up, and the prices are also reasonable. The lunch specials come with a side of spring rolls which was a welcome surprise. The ambiance was good and the servers were polite, though some of cutlery seemed worse for wear. The restaurant was not too packed, so the service was decently fast and didn't make us wait. Would recommend to anyone who like Thai food to visit at least once to check it out.

Wonderful, friendly service! Honestly. Thai is not my favorite cuisine. But the pumpkin soup and the lambs chops are quite tasty. A lovely neighborhood spot.

Was visiting from Chicago and a friend from the area recommended this place. There is so much Thai food in Chicago, it's hard to be impressed, but this was excellent. The lamb curry was packed with flavor and my only complaint was that I eventually ran out (very generous portions btw). I'm in Pittsburgh occasionally, and I'm certain I'll be back. My only complaint is that the service was pretty noticeably slow.

I've been loyal patron for years now. Whether you come here for lunch, dinner, or just have a drink at the bar - its always good. Food is tasty and fresh and cocktails are best in the neighborhood. Very reasonably priced and run by lovely family.

I love this place. It's one of my all time favorite restaurants. Tonight didn't disappoint. Had fun with friends and super good pad Thai!!
