Tonight we went to Soju (A Korean restaurant) and found the food delightful. Our appetizers, Korean pancakes and crispy chicken Katsu, were delicious. The Korean BBQ Combination was OK, but next time, we will order individual dishes rather than the combination platter, avoiding the beef. BiBimBap comes with an egg on top, which makes a good vegetarian dish or one can hold the egg to have nourishing vegan food. Service was great. Don't forget a shot or two of soju!
We had very good meals at Soju. The vibe is a little different. We were in Pittsburgh for vacation and wanted something off the beaten path and different. I don’t know how they did it but they grilled/roasted my veggies that were freaky awesome. It was sweet potato, beet and zucchini. I have tried to cook them at the hose and they are nothing like what I had. Should of asked them how they were made before we left. This is not your typical Korean restaurant but is good anyway. We enjoyed the food and experience.
Everything I had was delicious. The cocktail was awesome, especially after crushing the mint into it. The nori fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Bibimbap was super tasty. The menu is relatively small, but should suit most Korean cravings. The bartender was attentive and sweet.
AMAZING FOOD!!! And they just added BRUNCH on Sundays!!! So well seasoned, inventive and beautifully plated. The eclectic style is creative and comfortable, and the service (props to Mike!) is attentive without being overbearing. All the foods (and soups!) are fantastic, and the drinks amazing. Try the Korean BBQ Combination with Soju Punch and the Lox (with an over easy egg) with the Kimchi Bloody Mary.
Wish we had found this place sooner. Very good food. Nice balance of innovation and tradition. Food, owner and staff we all excellent.
