Really enjoyed this venture into some authentic Turkish cuisine. The establishment is family run and they treated everyone as a special guest. The lamb shanks were so tender and flavorful. My salad was fresh and delicious. They had many other great thing to choose from, I just wanted to break away from the usual gyro. The owner plans to continually improve his restaurants interior as they grow. The place shows lots of promise and the prices are fair.
Stopped here for the first time yesterday after work to grab something to take home for dinner. Service was very friendly and it was easy to make selections. The food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. I'm eager to try more and will continue to give this new dining spot my business.
Awesome new find! We were greeted immediately when we entered. The gyros were absolutely amazing! (The fries were hot and crispy, too!) Tons of hot meat cut from the spit and just the right amount of sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion. (The pita wasn't all lettuce.) The owner came over multiple times to ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything. So kind! We went before going to the theater for a quick dinner. The place was VERY clean and bright and the prices very reasonable. We will DEFINITELY be going back to try more great things off the menu!
Okay so we're European and I'm vegetarian and honestly, my food experience in America has been underwhelming to say the least. Until today!!! Sultan is wonderful. So many veggie options, beautiful looking, delicious tasting and freshly made. The owner and staff are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Without a doubt the stuffed grape leaves, tabbouleh and pita are the most delicious food I've eaten since I've been in the country. If you're not veggie, don't worry, my husband had doner gyros and said it was great! If you find yourself in Pittsburgh, please try this place, it's amazing. Thanks for a great meal!
New place in downtown.
The owner is nice and
shares information about Ottoman
cooking styles and such.
He will make your Gyro to order,
just ask and it's all good.
Also got a rice pudding and it is AMAZING!
Very tasty!
Very clean space.
I will go again.
