Teppanyaki Kyoto Restaurant

This is my absolute favorite restaurant. It is the most authentic Japanese restaurant I've found in Pittsburgh. I feel like in back in Japan when I eat there.
Takoyaki is my favorite appetizer. But the best thing on the menu is the hiroshimayaki. You can't find it anywhere else.
My husband is afraid to try new things but he loves the menu here, even though the palate of this cuisine is total crazy compared to what he's used to.

Super savory. The service here is friendly. It has a great interior.

The food here is always amazing. Great for couples or smaller groups. We always get at least one of the special dishes (they can take a little longer to prepare but are worth it!). The apps are amazing (try the fried squid or the eggplant dish). They have great cocktails too. They just swapped menus and I missed out on their selection of Japanese Whiskeys which are highly recommended too. Will definitely be coming here again!

I stopped by for dinner with my family and was really impressed by the experiance. We ordered one meal and several small plates/apps. Not one thing tasted bad. The food tasted great, the service was friendly, the place was clean, the pricing was appropriate, and we didn't need to wait for the food to come. The only potential down side is that there isn't much seating, but were able to get a seat right away.

Small, intimate space. Delicious Japanese home cooking. Polite and friendly service. I come here for lunch at least once a month. Pittsburgh has many good, food choices. This is one of the best.
