The Coop Chicken and Waffles

Visiting our son's family and walked up for lunch. It was delicious. I had 2 tenders on a cornbread/cheddar waffle. It was the first time my wife ever had chicken and waffles and she enjoyed hers as well. Will certainly come back.

Fantastic food! The smell alone will draw you inside! Food is fresh, hot and delicious. Great portions! Will be back, alot!

We love the chicken thighs here, and I have yet to interact with an employee who was less than cheerful. All their food has great flavor. The chicken thighs travel the best. For everything else, you may want to simply head to the park and eat it right away, or have the oven on at home to give everything a quick crisp-up.

I've been waiting for this to open since having the food at the food truck... And boy it delivers and I am so happy to have it so close.

The chicken is some of the best fried chicken I've ever had and paired with the great waffles and the Sriracha syrup, it's unbelievable.

Food - Okay: Waffle was large but the sauce on top of it was simply too sweet and too much. Similar with the cinnamon, heavy hand in the back. Chicken tenders were flavorful but parts were so hard, it was not edible.

Service - Great: This truck was outside my office downtown. Ordered and had my food within 6 minutes. Staff was extremely friendly and explained they only sold chicken tenders due to the time real chicken takes to cook.

Overall - Would not Recommend: I love food trucks and supporting local businesses. However, I was barely able to eat any of it due to the sweet sauce over the waffle, heavy cinnamon and burnt chicken. There were also flies on the utensils outside. The concept is excellent and I hope they gets better but I won’t like anyone to throw away their money like I did their food. Come on, let’s get it right ladies.
