Was fortunate to go to one of their pop ups at the black radish! Every dish used beautiful summer produce, we loved the beef tartare, salad nicoise, and green bean casserole. The rye cavatelli with corn, chanterelles and summer truffle was the standout, all of the flavors worked so well together. Can't wait for their restaurant to open!
Pittsburgh is so fortunate to be home to this creative culinary project! Everything we've brought home has been delicious and eye-opening. Can't say enough about the smoked beet 'caviar, the trout pate, and the truffles mushrooms. Sausage is great too. Will be going back for more.
Delicious Smorgasbord. Have meat eaters and vegetarians in our family. This charcuterie meal was loved by all. Get an extra loaf of bread while you are at it. More to all the great pickles, sausage, and various spreads on.
I haven't met any other native Swedish people in Pittsburgh. There is some kind of Nordic association here, but the few individuals I met who knew about that were "fake Swedes" (ie, Danish, Norwegian, etc). As such, I'm uniquely qualified to opine on Fet Fisk, a restaurant that specializes on Swedish Smörgåsbord. I loved it!!! A new local twist to a concept that helped bring Sweden to a major European power (at least in AD 1648). I'm excited that they allegedly switch out the dishes ever so often. The food consisted of multiple small dishes that came with excellent Swedish bread. We added some desserts that were fantastic! Only negative is that it seems very involved to order food from there. My gorgeous wife needed to follow a certain protocol identified on Instagram. I'm just hoping that I will end up on a VIP list, being their only REAL Swedish customer.
