This is the best bar in Kutztown, and has some of the best food. The cook has created a great menu, while the beer menu is extensive, regularly updated, and affordable. They smoke their own meats and have great BBQ and homemade sauces. You can't go wrong with anything on menu.
Fantastic tacos and sandwiches! Friendly amd personable ownership and staff. Highly recommended. Not a college crowd until late evening. Great for locals! Amazing candied jalapenos to add to tacos or sandwich, these are extra but so tasty!
I come here often! My go to order is the loaded bbq chicken nachos and a Blue Moon beer! The beer list though is diverse and changes frequently. The food is always made well and the staff are always friendly!
Food was awesome (trio of tacos- pulled pork, beef brisket and smoked chicken). Very good beer selection, cool, unpretentious bar. It was a little loud for regular dinner conversation. My visit was during spring break, so very few college kids there. I imagine it can get very loud in there. Service was good initially but once food was served it went downhill. My friend had to go to bar for a drink after eating her whole meal with no drink. Server was fast when paying though. I'll definitely be going back again, very yummy!!
The Ktown Pub has great food and beer. Their smoked meats and special menu items are amazing (the smoked duck tacos...). I have high food standards - and their limited menu is really good. This is not a great place for veggies...not many options. It's a small menu and limited by their smoker size...so keep that in mind. Good selection of beers on tap often with a focus on local brews. Tons of selection in cans and bottles. We are town locals, and often head in for lunch or earlier dinner...it's a college bar scene later at night (with dollar burgers to match during happy hour). We take our kids for food when it is calmer and it's fine. But if you show up at 11pm on Friday night...it's a bar.
